Organize PDF pages

Change the order of the pages of your PDF, remove the ones you do not need, duplicate or rotate others and add blank pages.

Open in the app The app opens with this tool already selected. Your PDF is not uploaded anywhere.

How it works

Choose a PDF and you will see a thumbnail of each page. Drag the thumbnails to change the order, or select them and use the buttons: move earlier or later, rotate left or right, duplicate, delete or insert a blank page. You can also type a range (for example 1-3, 5) to select it, and keep only those pages.

Everything can be done without a mouse. With focus on the thumbnails: the arrows move you, Space selects, R rotates, D duplicates, I inserts a blank page, Delete removes and Alt with the arrows moves the chosen pages. Before saving you can undo the changes or go back to the original.

When you press the button a new PDF is created with the pages as you see them; the original is not modified. If you only want to keep some pages, the “Extract pages” tool does it by typing the numbers.

What is not preserved, and limits

  • The page content, the bookmarks that point to pages that remain in the document, internal links, forms, metadata and page labels are kept. Bookmarks and links that pointed to a deleted page are removed.
  • If you duplicate a page that has form fields, the fields of the copy are renamed (name_2) so they are not filled in together, and bookmarks of a duplicated page point to its first copy.
  • Blank pages you insert are not taken into account in the page labels (the PDF's own numbering, such as i, ii, 1, 2…): the pages after them may change label. A blank page copies the size and rotation of the previous page, or of the next one if it goes first.
  • A digital signature stops validating, because the PDF is written again with the new pages. Document-level JavaScript and embedded thumbnails are not kept.
  • Password-protected PDFs can be organized: the site asks for the password and it is only used in your browser, never saved or sent. The result is saved without a password. PDFs protected with a digital certificate instead of a password cannot be opened.
  • Very large files (over roughly 100-150 MB in total, or with thousands of pages) may fail, especially on phones, because everything happens in your device's memory.

Why it is different

This tool works inside your browser. The file you choose stays on your device and is not sent to any server. That is why you do not need an account or an email to use it.
