Rotate PDF

How it works

Choose a PDF and rotate its pages with the quick bar: 90° left, 90° right or 180°. It applies to all the pages, or only to the ones you select in the page thumbnails. The page view rotates instantly, so you see the result before saving. When you are satisfied, download a single PDF or keep working on it with another tool.

Rotating a page changes how it is displayed, not its content. The original is not modified; the file is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.

When rotating, the same document is saved with rotated pages, without touching its content. What is preserved and what is not is listed in the limits list below. Password-protected PDFs can be rotated: the site asks for the password and it is only used in your browser.

What is not preserved, and limits

• Content, bookmarks, title, author, metadata, forms, links, and annotations are preserved. In our tests with 163 real PDFs, one file lost a single key from its document information.
• A digital signature ceases to validate with any rotation, even without touching content: in our tests, 0 of 17 signed PDFs remained valid.
• Password-protected PDFs can be rotated: the site asks for the password and it is only used in your browser, never saved or sent. The result keeps the same password. PDFs protected with a digital certificate instead of a password cannot be opened.
• Very large files (over roughly 100-150 MB total, or with thousands of pages) may fail, especially on mobile devices, because everything runs in your device's memory.
